Where does the $15.
00 donation go?
We use the $15.00 donation towards produce transportation (gas is getting really high per gal) as well as anything else we may need to keep these events going.
Supplies can be costly as well as website hosting, insurance, permits, etc.. 100% of the donations goes towards keeping this program going.
Where does the produce come from?
Our distributors (donor partners) are AMAZING, we absolutely love working with them. We work with many throughout AZ (Nogales & AZ borders) Mexico, California.
YES, we're STILL able to rescue, we're just not as big.......YET! Rescue is very important to us HOEWEVER to us YOU are the MOST IMPORTANT. Without you what would the landfills look then..hmmmm?
We care about the produce you'll end up taking home, we want 100% of produce distributed to go in your refrigerator for you to feed your family. We want to make sure it doesn't end up thrown away. Why rescue if it's just going to end up thrown away.....AGAIN?
Can I be a volunteer?
YES, we are always in need of volunteers. We have a great community support system. Without volunteers NONE OF THIS IS POSSIBLE! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Are the markets Pet-Friendly?
We are HUGE animal lovers! As long as your pet is friendly, we do not mind the furbabies attending. Just keep in mind in the summer the asphalt can be hotter than you think please keep that in mind.
Do I bring my own box(s) or Bag(s)?
There are boxes and bags available however you are welcome to use your own. Many supporters bring wagons. WHATEVER makes you comfortable you're more than welcome to bring it.
Is produce available for composting?
We haven't had any "bad" produce these past two months. Keep checking with the sites you visit just in case there is some available at no cost to you.
